Playing Catch Up

We are just too busy for our own good.  I'll do my best to recap as quickly as possible- mostly for my sake.  I have lost the motivation to blog.  Basically the only thing I want to do is clean and nap.  I guess that's the "nesting" kicking in.  I have been feeling extremely overwhelmed with all that needs to be done before our sweet boy gets here.  I asked my mom to come over this weekend and please help.  I am feeling a bit better about things, but still have a few tasks on my list that need to be checked off before I feel at ease.

To start...  I am officially 37 weeks!  (Well, as of tomorrow)  We had our 36 week appt last Tuesday and final sonogram.  Praise the Lord, everything still looks great- heart, kidneys, etc.  We got to see him yawn and open his eyes.  He measured right at 7 lbs already!  Also, my doctor did the Strep B test and checked to see if I was dilated.  Let me tell you that I about jumped off the table for both!  Ouch!  Good news though- she said I was dilated to 2cm!  I can't believe it.  I thought for sure that I'd be a zero or something, but am very encouraged.  Now I know that I may stay at 2 for 3 more weeks, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for things to start happening.  Dr. Alexis said that Will could come any day now!  I'm sure that's where my anxiousness to get things done is coming from.  She also said that if it's looking like he's getting close to 9lbs, she may consider inducing at 39 weeks.  Anyway, our next appt is this Tuesday and we'll find out if anything else has happened.
My 36 week pic! I am huge and so is my double chin.  You have no idea how many times I get asked, "You sure there's just one baby in there?"
The hostesses from my church/ friend shower.  It was perfect!  Seeing some of my most dear friends was the best part.  Some of my church friends and college friends hosted together.  I'll have to blog about the shower another time.
The flowers from my school shower.  To0 gorgeous not to post.
We packed our hospital bag last night!!!  Very exciting!
Will's diaper bag packed and ready to go!  I'm just missing a coming home outfit.  I just don't know what to put him in.  Mostly I want him to be comfy, poor little guy's never had to wear clothes before ya know?
I packed this cute sleeper so far for him.  It's for 0-7lb. babies and since he's already almost exceeding that, I figured in the hospital may be the only time he gets to wear it.
Our stroller & carrier!  Steven has had a lot of fun figuring out all of the "tricks" it can do.  He'll get it installed in the car this week and go have it checked out at the fire station.  That way we will be able to bring that boy home!
Crib with new bedding.  Shad's mom, Cindy, made the bumper and crib skirt.  They turned out perfect.  You can't see the bottom of the skirt, but it has a stripe that matches the bumper.
Little bookshelf already filling up with toys and books.
Changing table stocked and ready to clean that little hiney!
I asked my school nurse to make the window panels for us.  The fabric on top matches the bedding.  I think they turned out great!  I love all the natural sunlight that comes into room too!
We ordered a decal for the wall behind the crib.  We love how this turned out as well.
Things are starting to all fall into place.  We reorganized the linen closet to make room for the little towels, sheets, and wash cloths.  I have washed most of his clothes, bedding, blankets, etc. and decided where (I think) I want it all to go.  I still need to rearrange the kitchen cabinets to make some space for baby things.  Steven is working on getting his last paper done so there is nothing hanging over his head if this little boy decides to make an appearance soon.

I'll try to be better about posting in the near future.. especially if exciting things start to happen!
